This workshop can be presented in three modalities:
  • Modality one has a general focus. We engage in three main activities.  (1) Prioritizing  goals (2) Offloading what’s all on your plate (3) Aligning all your projects and commitments in light of your top priorities.
  • Modality two has a technology focus. We audit and assess the audience’s technology addiction. Then, based on the businesses or work, we guide them towards reducing the quantity of tech tools and increase the quality and effectiveness with their critical apps.
  • Modality three has a money focus. We discuss the balance of sales vs. marketing. Based on the audiences goals, we guide them towards the fastest and easiest ways of making money instead of just making content.

Workshop Abstract:

digitalbalanceFinding Your Own Digital Balance: How to get more done, with and without technology

For the executive, the business owner and the freelancer, technology can be both a blessing and curse. We have instant access to the latest industry news, prospective sales leads, critical financial reports. But we also have a decreased ability to focus or disconnect for all the buzzes, beeps and notifications. According to a 2009 Stanford University study, there is an almost unanimous recognition by social scientist that the digital age brings increased chronic multitasking and chronic multitasking results in diminished cognition.

Arvell Craig has successful started and managed multiple digital marketing businesses over the past 14 years. Being independent, tech savvy and results focused, he understands advanced strategies of using technology for saving times but he also has developed practices to detach, reflect and focus to stay productive.

This session will help you find your own digital balance– fearlessly breaking away from culture norms to make sure technology serves you, instead of enslaving you.
