My Favorite Youversion Reading Plans

Greetings and Happy New Year!
Today I would like to share with you my favorite Youversion Reading Plans. Now perhaps I’m just naiive but I assume anyone with a smart phone, which is about every – that you have the Bible App form LifeChurch.tv also known as Youversion.

Now before I get started, I do want to ask a few things from you:

(1) Please go to iTunes and write a review of this podcast. From what I hear that helps the podcasts to spread and rank higher and I do want to reach more people.

(2) The newsletter. If you enjoy this devotional podcast, or any of the content that I publish whether that be on Youtube, Facebook or the blog, we have a weekly newsletter that goes out every Sunday morning. Included on the newsletter are not only updates from the blog, but also additional updates, stories and resource.

Lately I have been working a new project, called the “prayer and progress” worksheet. Eventually I will share details on this publicly, but for now and the next few weeks or months it will only be available with those on who join the newsletter.

My Favorite Youversion Reading Plans

John Bevere – Good or God
John Bevere’s reading plan was powerful and challenging. He will push you towards pressing into the higher calling. Of all the 4 plans discussed, this is the only one I know I will be readying again this coming year. It was not only good, but it’s the kind of message you need to hear at least once a year.

Oswald Chambers – My Utmost for His Highest
Oswald’s reading plan was of course included. If you’ve been following this podcast you recall I’ve had at least 2 episodes completely dedicated this this reading plan.

Tim Keller – 14 Days on Prayer
Tim Keller’s reading plan is taken directly from his book on prayer. I have not read the book, but after doing through his 14 day devotional I will very likely plan on reading it. He gives a very pastor and practical teaching on prayer that you can apply immediately.

Kirk Franklin – Losing My Religion
Kirk Franklin’s reading plan is based on his latest album. He explains how he came to write many of the songs on the album. To me the devo was great in that it dealt with everyday life struggles. Kirk is authentic, transparent and yet keeps that message pointing to God.

I hope these reading plans will bless you if you decide to read any one of them. All were great and will bless you.
