After feeling stuck or perceiving that your life is going in predictable cycles, you now covet an escape.
After serial procrastination or always deciding to take the easy road, you now long to live from the heart.
After trying to fit into a typical success model that doesn’t connect to your DNA, you now realize you must make your own path.
Does any of this relate to you?
Two days ago, I was in a meeting with an executive coach and he said an incredibly intriguing phrase: “standing on a whale fishing for minnows.”
Unpacking that phrase can mean many things. But my interpretation is how many people not only have what they’re searching for, but they may actually possess something infinitely greater than what they are looking for.
Breaking free from our cycles takes faith not formula.
Faith will do what sight can’t do. Faith will lead us to do the impractical and possibly wasteful.
For some faith is spending extra time with God. Humbling ourselves and daily acknowledging that it’s not our work but His that makes the ultimate difference.
For another, faith is saying, “no” or “yes” with our time, resources and attention to the things that we know we should / should not be doing.
For the rest of us, the answer is both.
I’m reminded of a more common saying, “if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll receive what you’ve always had.”
Today I want to encourage those who may feel stuck:
1. Do different
2. Do consistently, what you often start, but don’t keep with.
3. Do things that align with your purpose, not just your immediate needs.
