Better than a one-on-one power session with Tony Robbins, putting into practice the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People or having perfectly emmulated the personna of someone who wins friends and influence people —- is the simple shift into living a focused life.
Focus predetermines your priorities and prevents your from distractions.
Focus speaks of integrity and trustworthiness because it says you are grounded in a specific area and not driven by the winds of every need, opportunity and trend.
Years ago I came to the realization that if I continued working in a manner of split priorities and distributed energy, I would always look cool before friends but make no meaningful impact with my life.
Being a supposedly five-talent person meant that I needed to always juggle and spread my abilities. Now I realize that in spite of our giftings, calls, and abilities – their lies the will of God and the seasons of life. And this will is specific and jealous for our faithfulness.
So, even though God spoke (in the past), what is he saying now?
Our season and status in life will make demands of us… and each moment is a preparation for something of the future. And we must live fully where we are to succeed and be prepared to advance.
Being stuck in the theory of a principle as supposed to the reality and needs of the present will make us spin our wheels, go in circles and live a stagnant and confused life.
When we are focused, we remove the need to please people.
We loose the guilt of not solving problems that are not inline with our current state.
We allow God to complete the work He started. We let Christ be the Savior of world and we become the mature son or daughter that only does what we hear the Father presently saying.
Create a Great Day!
