Play Your Own Game

Games have endings, but it’s not really about the end.

Yes, you want to become a winner, but what happens next?

Does LeBron James retire after he becomes MVP or wins the championship?

Tiger Woods broke numerous records both in golf and in salary earnings, but what happens next?

They play again.

They pursue more titles, more records, challenging themselves until they can no longer get any better.

But you don’t have to be a professional athlete to have the same lifestyle.

You can pursue money and more money. Success and greater success.

People start companies, grow and sell them, then repeat the process again.

Not everyone sees life as a game. But if the influencers around you are playing you, don’t be a casual spectator.

I’m starting to recognize the games around me.

I use to just see cycles. The ups and downs. Patterns that repeat every so often.

I use to feel stuck in these cycles.

I wanted to break free.

Then I realized it was just a game.

It was someone else’s game and I was being played.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. (1 Cor. 9:24)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, (Heb 12:1)
